About The Artwork

“GET LACED” COLLECTION: LOVE x LOVE PRIDE 2022 LIMITED EDITION PAINTING The “GET LACED” COLLECTION focuses on one key element , a repetitive pattern or theme that has been twisted , turned and tweaked to accentuate the physical shape of the womans body. Carolina used lime green paint to produce the look of delicate lace pattern inside the bodY-hands reinforcing the concept of “GET LACED” I have always admired the beauty of the human body. THE “GET LACED” COLLECTION is a series of paintings and the expression of feelings and a person who knows themselves and the power of their self love. I wanted the viewer to see only a parts of the body in these series of silhouettes. In “GET LACED” COLLECTION LOVE PRIDE 2022 painting the viewer only sees the hands of a man and a woman forming a heart with their hands. The series is made and painted in only black and white. All the brightness of the colors comes to life only in the lace pattern with colors. Each painting has a different color lace pattern. In this painting, LOVE PRIDE 2022 , the lace pattern is all the colors in a rainbow like the rainbow flag for Gay Pride.against a light grey background. I wanted to represent LOVE is the same for everyone. No matter your gender, sexuality, color of skin, we all LOVE. LOVE is the same for everyone. I wanted to express that in this painting in honor of GAY PRIDE MONTH. STORY BEHIND MY INSPIRATION: HOW DID THE RAINBOW BECOME A SYMBOL OF GAY PRIDE?? 1978 ,the artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, designed the first rainbow flag,to create a symbol of pride for the gay community. Baker decided to make that symbol a flag because he saw flags as the most powerful symbol of pride. Baker saw the rainbow as a natural flag from the sky, so he adopted eight colors for the stripes, each color with its own meaning (hot pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for art, indigo for harmony, violet for spirit.

CAROLINA ELISABETTA SACCONE. Art has always been in Carolina’s life and has always had passion for Art. She spent her childhood drawing, painting, and always being creative and trying to create something, but never dreamed that she could turn her passion into a career. Born in Boston, Ma. She grew up in Peabody, Ma. A suburb north of the city. In high school is when she realized her love and passion for art and started thinking about it more than just a hobby. She went to college and studied psychology and after four years switched majors and transferred schools. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2005 with a B.A. in Art. Her degree is in Studio Art with focus on painting and Art History and elective courses in Fashion. It took her over ten years away from art to realize this dream. After over a decade in a fashion design career, she came back to her passion for painting. Carolina uploaded images of her paintings to the internet and social media. To her surprise, she received orders for art that night, she took this as a “sign”. That was when she started to paint more and more and in 2017 decided to quit her “Real Job” within months nd started to paint full time as a full time artist. She began to experiment with styles, themes, subject matter, techniques, multi media, and home décor. That’s when she started, CAROLINA ELISABETTA ART and CAROLINA ELISABETTA CASA. Only over the last year has Carolina emerged as an artist, finding herself in unfamiliar, but exciting territory. An inspirational artist whose background and study in art and fashion translates into a dynamic canvas. She imagines the items around us with luxury and fashion transforming them into something improved, fun, and desirable. Creating a new context for the everyday to see everything differently, not how we are told or intended to see it. I look for the future of what pop art is in our modern world and culture. Continuing to absorb our past and push these ideas further today. Carolina took some time off and returned to her art in June 2017,after taking time off to deal with the recent death and loss of her only sibling/brother William Angelo Saccone III on December, 29, 2016. She considers art as a therapy form for herself and believes that art heals both the maker and the receiver of art. She hopes some day to be able to offer art therapy for other people as well. Carolina is in the process of applying to graduate school and get her masters in Art Therapy.
