Go To Hell! Painting

Manifest: We Are Machines. These strange figures, half-human, half-sheep are recurrent in this series because socially, we just followed the troop without asking questions. I was inspired by an absurd lesson in religion who taught in some schools: the story of a "bad" boy who climbs a ladder to ruin the nest of swallows. But God saw it and him and pulled the ladder. The boy has fallen, he is unconscious and hurt. But swallows fly happy and thanks God! This example of violence, as well as a frightening diversity of atrocities and horrors that can happen to us if we are not believers, are the supreme arguments of the religion. God is presented either as a ruthless entity, capable of terrible revenge or as an indulgent trafficker who forgives all sins. The church wants you stupid!
