About The Artwork
This is my larger entry into this year's DIRTY SHOW, held in Detroit Michigan and done under my alias "Mr. Tanaka", which I've used for maybe 12 years now. This piece is nearly life-sized and is acrylic on masonite mounted on Gatorboard. It's silhouette-shaped conforming to the contours of the gymnast's body. It's fairly lightweight compared to my other silhouette paintings because Gatorboard and 1/8" masonite are a lot lighter than plywood with wooden supports on the back. Wired on the back for hanging. The Dirty Show is a fun show to do, and your entry usually needs nudity, erotic, or adult content, so here's one that qualifies and made it in.
