About The Artwork

The greek myth of Icarus rise and fall here shows a work made from a unique drawing cut and moved pieces, then re ordered to finally re find the initial subject. An uneasy task witch allows myself to find new relations through the deconstruction and essentially to surprise myself during the process with the result . A game of finding continuity through the discontinuty of the drawing. Icarus rises and fall is about ambition and vanity . This artwork was made as a calligraphic drawing on a recycled thin paper then paste onto a heavy carton then mounted on linen canvas streched to a heavy wooden frame. This piece is part of an Icare serie witch some of them were sold to a very known collector in france , Arnaud Lagardère. His collection is shown in the collection here called "Colectors interiors" .
