About The Artwork
Mixed Media Painting. Acrylics, merino wool, silk, ink. I love to paint with wool. I felt it onto the canvas and use it as if it was a type of impasto. I often change the color of the wool using inks, sometimes I paint over it. When the painting is done, the felted wool and silky parts are hardenend with a fabric hardener to protect them in the same way as I use varnish to protect the acrylic parts.
