About The Artwork

Description: This series was focusing on the layering of the infinitely great and the infinitesimal, using images of small animals such as sponges, and patterns found in the mystical crop circles around the world. I chose to work on two different types of patterns sur-imposing them in order to create a new space. Realities are interchanged, the infinitely great in place of the infinitesimal, both been birthed next to each other. I am more interested in the structure of the composition than the representational aspect of the object. Medium: Acrylic on canvas Year Created: 2007 SOLD

For more than 20 years she has been involved in the Visual Arts scene as a professional artist (she is a Member of the RAAV/CARFAC since 1996, member of the SODRAC, and registered at ARTEXTE), as a art instructor (She taught as a secondary art instructor in France, then to adults at the Visual Art Center, University of Montreal, and The Montreal Fine Art Museum), and as the editor of her own publishing house, Editions FrI, focusing on Artist books, since 2009. She has shown her work both in solo and group shows in Quebec (Canada), USA, France, Germany, and Malaysia and China. Her work can be found in many private collections around the world. Since 2014, she was invited to do several Artists Residencies (the Vermont Studio Centre in Vermont USA, Chinese European Art Center in Xiamen, Untitled in Shanghai). Today she is living and working in Shanghai, China and still maintain her studio in Montreal, Canada. A prolific artist, she focuses on her art while she is teaching art to Chinese students.
