The name of the painting means 'on his own' in Estonian. I see this cat on a leash sitting on the porch of an old wooden house in Tartu almost every day. The cat appears comfortable and enjoys being outdoors, yet it is tethered and lonely. The painting is created on a wooden panel using textured acrylic paste, paints, and oil pastels. It is framed in a unique wooden frame I selected myself to enhance the sense of coziness.
