I don't want to wait anymore I'm tired of looking for answers Take me some place where there's music and there's laughter I don't know if I'm scared of dying but I'm scared of living too fast, too slow Regret, remorse, hold on, oh no I've got to go There's no starting over, no new beginnings, time races on And you've just gotta keep on keeping on Gotta keep on going, looking straight out on the road Can't worry 'bout what's behind you or what's coming for you further up the road I try not to hold on to what is gone, I try to do right what is wrong I try to keep on keeping on Yeah I just keep on keeping on I hear a voice calling Calling out for me These shackles I've made in an attempt to be free Be it for reason, be it for love I won't take the easy road I've woken up in a hotel room, my worries as big as the moon Having no idea who or what or where I am Something good comes with the bad A song's never just sad There's hope, there's a silver lining Show me my silver lining Show me my silver lining I hear a voice calling Calling out for me These shackles I've made in an attempt to be free Be it for reason, be it for love I won't take the easy road I won't take the easy road The easy road, the easy road I won't take the easy road The easy road, the easy road Show me my silver lining, I try to keep on keeping on Show me my silver lining, I try to keep on keeping on Show me my silver lining, I try to keep on keeping on Show me my silver lining, I try to keep on keeping on ‘My Silver Lining’ by First Aid Kit "My Silver Lining" is a song recorded by Swedish folk band First Aid Kit for their third studio album Stay Gold. Written by Klara and Johanna Söderberg and produced by Mike Mogis, the song was released as the first single from the album. This song was used in the soundtrack of Wanted (2016 Australian TV series) season 3 episode 5 and as the end credits theme in the fifth and final episode of the Telltale Games series Tales from the Borderlands. This song has also been used for three TV adverts in the UK; American Express, Mercedes Benz and Renault. First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo that consists of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993, respectively. When performing live, the duo is accompanied by a drummer, a pedal steel guitarist, and a keyboard player. In 2008, they gained some Internet popularity from their cover of the Fleet Foxes's song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". Their song "Emmylou" was chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as the number 10 "Single of the Year" in 2012. They have released four albums, four EPs and several singles. In 2015, they were nominated for a Brit Award as one of the five best international groups. They were nominated again in 2019. Source: Wikipedia

I’m (I am?) a self-taught artist, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago (also known as John Hughes' America). Born in 1984, I started painting in 2017 and began to take it somewhat seriously in 2019. I currently reside in rural Montana and live a secluded life with my three dogs - Pebbles (a.k.a. Jaws, Brandy, Fang), Bam Bam (a.k.a. Scrat, Dinki-Di, Trash Panda, Dug), and Mystique (a.k.a. Lady), and five cats - Burglekutt (a.k.a. Ghostmouse Makah), Vohnkar! (a.k.a. Storm Shadow, Grogu), Falkor (a.k.a. Moro, The Mummy's Kryptonite, Wendigo, BFC), Nibbler (a.k.a. Cobblepot), and Meegosh (a.k.a. Lenny). Part of the preface to the 'Complete Works of Emily Dickinson helps sum me up as a person and an artist: "The verses of Emily Dickinson belong emphatically to what Emerson long since called ‘the Poetry of the Portfolio,’ something produced absolutely without the thought of publication, and solely by way of expression of the writer's own mind. Such verse must inevitably forfeit whatever advantage lies in the discipline of public criticism and the enforced conformity to accepted ways. On the other hand, it may often gain something through the habit of freedom and unconventional utterance of daring thoughts. In the case of the present author, there was no choice in the matter; she must write thus, or not at all. A recluse by temperament and habit, literally spending years without settling her foot beyond the doorstep, and many more years during which her walks were strictly limited to her father's grounds, she habitually concealed her mind, like her person, from all but a few friends; and it was with great difficulty that she was persuaded to print during her lifetime, three or four poems. Yet she wrote verses in great abundance; and though brought curiosity indifferent to all conventional rules, had yet a rigorous literary standard of her own, and often altered a word many times to suit an ear which had its own tenacious fastidiousness." -Thomas Wentworth Higginson "Not bad... you say this is your first lesson?" "Yes, but my father was an *art collector*, so…"
