About The Artwork
I paint my portraits while listening to the music of artist that I am painting. This inspires the bold, acidic colours, and the high contrast. I wanted to capture the drug addicted Keith Richards in all of his wrinkly glory, feeling a soulful moment on stage. Try listening to your favorite Rolling Stones tune, while gazing at this piece and you will see where the inspiration comes from. Note: I sign and date all of my pieces on the back of the canvas, as well as sign the front. The frame is hand made very rough painted back wood.
