La Bohème set design painting by Andreas Seiler 1995 era original painting (watercolor acrylics). Unique artwork never been used for reproduction prints and the first time it has ever been shown publically This painting comes from a series that Andreas worked on during the 1990's period when he was inspired by music to paint. Only a dozen paintings were created during this time, some have been given to notable Opera performers. This work was intended for Renata Tebaldi for her wonderful performances of Mimi and so well captured on recordings. The Painted scene depicts the opening of Act 3, this is a truly magical part of the opera,anyone who knows it will see many attributes in the painting, the Inn, the bench seat, the town gates, the approaching milk cart, the guards warming near a fire. Other things less noticable but very symbolic a nest in a tree with two birds hovering above it
