About The Artwork
A very intense painting that was inspired by Michelangelo's "Pietà", a sculpture of Mary holing the dead body of Christ on her lap. In this painting, instead of Mary there is an Orthodox Jew with the typical hat and the side locks holding the body of Christ, who is covered with the Palestinian flag. The artist doesn't want to make any declaration regarding the meaning of the work, he wants to leave it open. It's up to the observer to interpret it.

I was born in 1982 in Salerno, Italy, where I grew up as well. I visited the Art Institute "Filiberto Menna”. In my teenage years I started as a street artist, using sprays to express myself upon the walls of my home town. In 2008 I went abroad and spent two years in Spain, where I actually started to paint on canvas. 2010 I went back to Italy and lived in different cities, like Milan, Salerno and Rome.
