Lady Of Cao Painting

'LADY OF CAO' has been inspired by a journey to Peru, visiting Pre-Inca archaeological sites, taking part in native shamanic ceremonies. It examines the analogy between psychology and archaeology and interprets self-discovery as the archaeology of the psyche. It analyses how can the actions of burying and excavating be understood, carried out, felt and perceived through painting. How can they be explained in their literal and metaphorical senses, on a physical plane as fragmenting and unifying actions and how can the spatial conditions they create be interpreted. The feathers have been found in the artists' garden on her return.
