This abstract by Michael was finished in 2013, and is acrylic on canvas. There is so much going on in this painting. You will see 2 breasts, on on each side of the painting. This represents Michael and his wife's struggle through breast cancer twice. Next there is two angels at the bottom of the painting releasing doves into the air. This symbolizes letting go of those you have lost and to heal your soul. you see the cross, which represents religion and the connection to faith and hope. Next is the heart, which has an eye that is looking through the cross and into the painting. This abstract to date is the most loved by Michael's following. This original is offered at this time. Born and raised near the beach in Southeast Texas, have lived in many different states and countries, currently live on the coastal waters of Galveston bay. Being a "Renaissance Man" as my friends call me, my wealth of knowledge has matured over the years and shows in my work. With over 35 years of painting and photography, I continue to grow and refine my creations. 2015 was in 100 buses in Raleigh area with Art on the Move for most of the year. I have won several awards, in galleries, and currently on display at the USDA Gallery in Washington, D.C. I grew up around nature. Horticulture, flowers, and various works in wood, stone, and other media have moved me to painting on acrylic on canvas and other media.
