About The Artwork
The artwork comes wired and is made of archival materials. I decided to create an abstract portrait with a small canvas I had for practice. I took a sketch I made earlier and turned it into this piece. I wanted there to be a sense of movement and space. I played with a lot of layers of paint in order to help the portray light. This piece is very warm and I hope it makes the viewer think of the woman in the portrait. We can even place ourselves in her shoes.
