I painted Charis Wilson , the muse, model and last wife of renowned photographer Edward Weston by his photograph.

Beautiful and free spirit who met Weston when she was 20 and he was 48.
Their relationship last just 11 years but remained good friend.

When I saw her in the photography book of Weston , I was captivated her mysterious beauty and could guess how independent she was .
I could understand why he loved her.
Her physical body line told what kind of person she was .

Wilson was the author of several books and sometimes she wrote under his name some articles for him.

Wilson left him 1945 , and remarried Noel Harris , a labor activist 1946.

I am sorry for Weston how he was depressed when she left him.

But I thought Wilson probably did a strong role to make him more greater photographer in the world.

There are lots of muses for great artists in the art history they were such like as muse , wife or partner sometimes enemy what so ever.

I wanted to express my emotional feelings when I was painting this picture.
Also she was me at the moment as free spirit .

There is my hand signature under right side.

Ever since I discovered the great impressionists like Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Gauguin as a child , I wanted to be a artist. Since then, I have realized that painting truly is the thing that makes me happiest and has kept my passion for life going. My life has taken me through many roles such as working in sales, intenaional import/export, being an art director for a local gallery , and getting multiful successful food business off the ground and sold . While I am now proprietor of a small cafe , my heart has remained belonging to art. While I have not had a chance to phisically exhibit my pieces in Korea yet, some of my artwork is featured online on th website for the Econrock Gallery in Seoul. www.ecorockgallery.co.kr https://ecorockgallery.com/author/view.htm?idx=3754&page=1
