Medusa and the Octopus Painting

My first image, which I am going to look at, initially developed as a thin aesthetic image emerging out of the process I adopted. The process began with scribbles, upon which I manipulated the elements. The result was an amalgamation of figures, monsters, sea life creatures, demons and animals. In hindsight, due to the process, I cannot for definite pinpoint a reason for what is going on, although it is inevitable that somehow the discourses and the episteme which I have grown up in has had an influence on the images I create at a subconscious level. When I look back at the image there are certain stories and ideas that can be attached to the different elements I have come up with.
