This acrylic painting on Fabriano paper is from a digital photo taken when standing in Times Square, New York. It is the second of a new and developing series exploring my interest in the photographic image's relation to personal memory in a culture where it is predominantly archived and experienced digitally. This 43.5 x 33.5 cm painting is framed with bleached lime wood and glazed with 'museum' glass (offering UV protection and minimal reflection). A split baton is provided for fixing to a wall, so the framed work can then be securely rested upon this for easy hanging with no straps or mirror plates required.
