We commonly think that the few in power are the ones who move history. That is because most ordinary people cannot leave their names in history, and their thoughts and actions do not get passed down. Only the names of a few take a place in history. For this reason, we think that most ordinary people are swept up in the waves of history. However, my work rebels against such thoughts. I listen to small powers and small stories. The characters, animals, and objects that appear in my work resist the absurdity of the world we originally live in. The way they resist is expressed like magic. The gathering of small powers that causes great waves feels like a miracle. Their actions and expressions are imbued with conviction. We are walking towards a better direction. In other words, I am telling a story of hope. I previously described the concept of what is possible and what is impossible. The premise of what is possible is something that can be imagined as an image and can ultimately become a physical entity. Even if it does not exist at present, it can appear in the physical world if the possibility of existence is increased. To increase this possibility, someone's imaginative creation is necessary. If no one imagines something that is possible, it remains only possible. Therefore, to increase the possibility of realization of something that is possible but does not exist now, I use flat images. Witnessing the realization of past imaginings of flying cars and communication technologies that allow face-to-face conversations from far away, I came up with this idea. I draw that working to increase the possibility of a future where the warmth and affection of helping one another covers the entire world.
