About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the photograph of Annie Spratt, an English photographer. As in it's sister painting, Mountain Path I, the reaction I had when I first saw the photograph, was "look at all the colors!" This piece was from a set of 2 photographs. I immediately wanted to paint what I saw. The painting is in acrylic on canvas and will be framed. As I write this, I'm thinking I might also make prints of both the artworks (Mountain Path I and II). Yes, hanging hardware will be included. My hope for this painting is that the viewers will respond positively to all the colors. Also that they will find this piece soothing to looks at as I find all paths soothing to look at. We all have paths to choose in life....

As you may see in my Bio page of my website, I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I would spend countless hours lost in a piece of paper with crayons and pencils. As I grew older, I began to develop some real skill. Having been mentored by the late artist George Benedict, I was encouraged to attend art school and so I graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelors Degree in Illustration. I worked during my junior year in college at an art studio and then found myself in Miami where I freelanced for various companies. I now reside in Upstate New York where I continue to paint and draw.
