Sir Peter Saunders called me one day to say that an original prompt script from "The Mousetrap" play by Agatha Christie had just been discovered. Being the owner of the theatre he saved it in a time capsule. When he showed it to me I decided to make it the centrepiece of my large life-size "Trompe L'Oeil' watercolour painting. Entitled "Mousetrap Memories" it contains scores of items associated with this most famous of plays - including the original pistol, now housed in a London Theatre museum.

This large painting has a wooden gold leaf covered frame with a large mount and is glazed. The dimensions shown are for the framed picture.

Bill Mundy is one of the world's leading miniature portrait painters, but his talents do not stop there. He also works in larger formats, creating watercolours of subjects including river landscapes, portraits, trompe l'oeil and still life, utilising his miniature pointillist technique. His paintings are represented in Royal, public, and private collections in every continent of the world. He has won all the major awards for miniature portrait painting. Bill has been awarded the 'Exhibit of the Year' twice at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London for his watercolours, and is the only living miniature artist represented in the permanent collection of the V&A in London. He lives and paints in his riverside studio at Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, England.
