About The Artwork
After the disaster of Twin Towers, the world fell in depression, talking all the mass media about apocalyptic situation on war, the negative atmosphere was my motivation for give my optimistic view of life, to build a new world, new buildings, new city with Genetical Architecture,..and consequently a new humanity. A limited serie poster was printed in Osaka, Japan,by Monolith Design Office for a charity event. Sales were done for "September 11 Foundation" and Afgans Refugees.

Juan Carter whose artistic pseudonym is “El Gato” is an artist-architect-illustrator originally from Chile. He has been living in Europe for more than 30 years, two years in Holland, two years in France with the remaining time in Barcelona, Spain, the city which provided him with the main influences and ideas for his bizarre artwork. He was working in humour illustration in Chile in the 1980's, where he was one of the principal caricaturists of the Pinochet dictatorship, as well as working as a designer/artist in many important design competition events. His paintings are in acrylic, depicting a combination of nature and architecture, which he describes as "genetic architecture", a view of a future world where the buildings are growing from nature, similar to a Gaudi dream.
