Onyx is a 12” by 12” mixed media painting on canvas. It is from my “Rock Cut” series. A collection that symbolizes different precious metals, rocks, crystals and gemstones that can be found in our earth. Most are highly textured, they are clear coated so they can be touched.This heavily textured painting represents Onyx primarily refers to the parallel banded variety of the silicate mineral chalcedony.
