About The Artwork

Bonnie and Clyde were on the run from the law in 1932 - 1934. There were two things that were important to them - not getting caught and staying in touch with their family. The Barrow home was a gas station that sill stands today; from a peeled piece of paint on the side of the gas station, I sourced my color palette for this painting. Where the colors converge, there is a shape in slight relief. This is the shape of a paint chip from Eastham prison -- the prison that incarcerated Clyde prior to his killing spree.
