Description: This is a mixed media painting consisting of sections of canvas which have been glued and sewed together. In addition, there is a small poem in the lower left hand corner entitled "Patterns". This painting explores the connection between words and paint. Each portion of this painting is separated by fabric which has been sewed onto the canvas. The painting works as a whole primarily because an effort has been made to relate the colors and shapes.
