An uncanny calm washes over me when I view Peonies Mysterium. Something about the stark, cool, but soft light conveys the majestic mystery of God and the Universe. Technically, Peonies Mysterium is my most three-dimensional peonies yet in appearance. It can trick your eyes into thinking it's actual giant peonies emerging from space! I continue to improve my technique through experimentation and observation of the work of others. I think Peonies Mysterium demonstrates a significant development in my technique both in terms of its resultant verisimilitude and aesthetics. Peonies Mysterium is dedicated to Terence John Williamson.
