About The Artwork
The painting is executed on a very durable polycarbone sheet, called lexan.Through the language of drawing and painting the female figures communicate the stages from disengagement and immobilization to the imaginative freedom from body’s limitations. The multilayer works depict my memories, desires and fantasies on the path of searching for balance and personal meaning in life. The importance of self-examination is revealed in my work which demonstrates the optimistic honesty of the deliverance of self. The painting was awarded with the first place during the 38 VAM Juried in the venue of public Art Gallery of Mississauga in 2015 and Painting Award in Wellington Museum , Ontario in 2015.

I was born in Poland. Upon my arrival to Guelph, Canada in 1996 I decided not to continue scientific career in Biological Sciences but to pursue art and painting. My work has been progressing from expressive realism to abstract interpretation. Throughout my career I has developed a passion for the depiction of bodies, landscapes and other natural forms such as coral reefs, flames and plants.My recent abstract work focuses on depicting the female form engulfed in an orgy of color and gesture. Achievements: 2018 Ontario Art Council Exhibition Assistance Grant 2016 The First Place, 38 VAM Juried Exhibit, Art Gallery of Mississauga 2015 Painting Award, 36 Juried Show Insights in Wellington Museum of Art and Archives, Fergus, ON 2011 The Fourth International Award Lorenzo de Medici, Florence Biennale 2010 Solo Show Award, Art Center Gallery, Astoria, OR, USA 2010 Workshop Award, Clatsop Community College, Astoria I am an art instructor at several educational institutions in the region.
