About The Artwork
This painting is based on the image of one of the most popular places of Prague Old City, which I visited during my trip to Czech Republic in March of 2022. It is painted in my own unique style rooted in traditions of Impressionism, Expressionism and Realism with influences of Modernist painting. This painting is so delicate and nuanced that photo does not do justice to it. The texture is extremely refined, with heavy impasto and many layers of transparent glazes. Like all my work, it is painted utilizing Old Masters' technology on finest archival linen with museum-grade paints and covered with UV-protective varnish. Edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame, like most contemporary paintings.
