About The Artwork

Creation of visual arts through fusion of brain science facts and art As a conceptual tool required in the creative process of visual arts, artificial intelligence, brain science facts, or theories are used. Using this, the existing works of art were analyzed and applied to the creation of works of art based on established theories. Just as TV, content, and programs are used as tools for art creation in modern art such as media art, scientific facts can be used as a medium for art creation. This application can be applied at various levels, from the level of simple use of the facts to high-level convergence through feedback. Ultimately, what we see is what we see, not the image on the retina, but the visual information that passes through the brain, where memories, judgments, emotions, etc. are involved and combined. In terms of brain science, art can be defined as surprise. This is because seeing a work of art is not simply storing an image, but is accompanied by physiological and physical changes in brain cells that appear by combining emotions and judgments. Visualization of visual-related brain science facts: explanation of original emotional works It is a work of painting that realizes the cognitive method of resonating by integrating the brain scientific fact that the eye analyzes things into the painting. The shape (phenomena) seen in the brain through the eyes is a superficial rather than the essence of nature. The apparent is abstracted according to the interpretation by the knowledge of the connection structure constructed through personal life. Seeing doesn't mean just looking at the composition of things, and at the moment of seeing, connected experiences, knowledge, and feelings of good and dislike are expressed together. The Primitive Sensibility series is a pictorial creation of the compositional ratio of the visual cells in our eyes as a scientific concept. There are three types of visual cells (red, green, and blue) in the retina of our eyes. The composition ratio of each cell is not the same, and red: green: blue cells are present at a ratio of 60: 40: 1 as shown in the figure above. These different proportions affect our perception of visual perception, which leads to a difference in sensitivity to the work. In the "original sensibility" of the work, the "full utterance" on the left is the main color of the day that comes to us by red, the primary color of which is igniting more than 60% of our optic nerve (turning light into an electrical signal). The “static” in the center is the color of the night when the main color is dark blue and only the blue optic nerve, which is less than 1% of the optic nerve, feels cool and restful by working. The “dark light” on the right side expresses the spectacle approaching to me as the dim star light gradually becomes brighter when looking at the stars in the sky at night.

Changwoo Yoon(E-su) is a scientist and artist who majored in artificial intelligence and brain science. His philosophy of art is a fusion of scientific fact and art. He pursues the convergence concept of AI and brain science as a contemporary art. He study artificial intelligence principles of line, face, and color, and strive to apply the result to art. The brain processes infinite information into a finite appearance to create a world of relationships and meanings. If you feel inspiration when you see nature, you can find a connection that is relevance corresponding to the experiences I have seen, knowledge I have. The work of abstraction for finding and building associativity is also performed. This work is due to the finite memory of the brain. In the finite space, the abstraction and the knowledge of the vision are advanced to remember many things.
