About The Artwork
The two distorted figures in the painting struggle in accepting their time together is up, but if they don't pull they will lose their individual identity. Pulling away is a must. Over the years I found cutting toxic people out of my life have been a wonderful experience. I have a close associate who continues to have people who are terrible for their health, but has a harder time cutting ties. I've done this so much I find this problem foreign. Below is the original paragraph written while painting this. ______________________________________________________ You're better off alone and cutting out people who exacerbate your problems, or become a source of misery. There's enough issues within your mind that make you a miserable wreck, so what's the point in investing in people that make you miserable every night? Even if they're trying to better themselves, most of the time they don't know what they want and go back to their ways of saying they have no one that helps them. Self destruction isn't erotic and neither is investing in those who're weak minded enough to not conquer their problems.Pull away and invest in yourself because that's all you have in the end.

People within the work are often gaunt with enlarged heads, gnarled skin, and emancipated bodies. They are a projection of what we are afraid to admit to ourselves. The world that these figures inhabit has an overwhelmingly strong presence of emotion. It can be interpreted as negative, but with the dark tone comes the light. Being encapsulated inside your mind and creating dark does nothing for your being, it gives the illusion that there is nothing but doom and gloom. Feelings of isolation and detachment makes things worse, and expressing an individual view of your world can be challenging if your tongue is perpetually grasped in fear. I merely hope to express my experiences with those I regard as very close with a dream like environment in hope I’m not alone with my personal relationships and how they either regress, or progress.
