About The Artwork
My work is normally influenced by my life and what is happening emotionally for me. This work represents a normally docile beast being pushed to anger. It shows a magnificent amount of power and energy. I chose palette knife to express this energy and used an expressionistic style. I mix my media and experiment with whatever I have to hand which will work with my overall concept.

I am an artist and ceramic designer working in Hampshire England. I originally come from South Africa where I studied Fine art for 4 Years and then studied Ceramic design for another 2 years. I work using thick impasto oil paint to create a feeling that the objects that I paint are more sculptural and have a life of their own. I have an interest in the interplay of colours between objects in the painting and work to create an energy and union of these objects through paint.
