About The Artwork
The Original Family is a perfect example of inclusion. The Family is the first collective form of individuals that, through the assumption of roles, pursues goals, spreading experience, knowledge and fundamental values as: love, respect, compassion, passion, sharing and sociality. This big portrait of parents, children and sisterhood, take the observer through a figurative voyage into an adolescente world. I was inspired by my intimate life working on this project, using my family to investigate the human characters. In the formal side, I adopted the aesthetic of "manga cartoon" that is a fundamental part of my culture as a young person. I renamed this style 'Manga Pop' giving to this aesthetic my personal reinterpretation. I used recycled cardboard as support, and the acrylic paint emphasize the texture of the ground. The style of the painting is a kind of rough manner, referring to the primitivism movement. This multi-paneled work showed at: 22-29 September 2018 - Collective exhibition "Inclusioni" in Padova Town (Italy). IX Edition of Passaggi Artistici curated by Teatro Laterale and supported by the municipality of Padova town (Italy).

I work with the image examining its shape and its relation with the surrounding space. I study its consistency and its trace. I select the object and develop the work basing on my aesthetic code influenced by the contemporary art, the renaissance and the baroque painting, the design and the graphic art. In my works I utilize mixed media as painting on canvas or paper, drawings, collage, engravings, etchings, photography and digital art. I photograph my work, my research and my materials, I set up imaginary rooms containing experimental studies. My research has dual aspects, aesthetic and conceptual, focusing on the relations between visual art and the explorations of social context such as the gender studies and the social discrimination. My recent works origins from my passion for the female writers of the Twentieth Century and the Greek Mythology, highlighting the feminist culture and the social differences, particularly referring to the condition of women in art and in the western society.
