This is a dreamscape reaction to visiting the Rose Test Gardens in Portland, OR. Of the 150 or so species of roses, new thousands have arisen from genetic modification and hybridization - tweaked into crazily submissive and beautiful forms. Alas, they are still roses... some survive in their natural habitats others thrive as people-pleasers, as many organisms do... Painted on loose canvas that has been mounted onto a natural stretched canvas with folded edges. framed in an off-white, painted wood floater frame. Size listed includes frame and border, as shown in photo.
