"SOLARIS" by ALEXANDER FALK Original artwork - 14 x 19 cm / 5.5" x 7.5" Oil paint on wood (high density fiber) - 2015 - signed 'I am honoured my painting 'SOLARIS' was chosen for the book 'The Stylish Life - Skiing' by teNeues Publishing Company, an issue exploring the sophisticated, glamorous world surrounding skiing. The book has been published in Fall 2015.' After his classical art training at one of the European art academies the artist Alexander Falk dedicated his work to landscape paintings. With his studio being currently in Germany he gets his inspirations from his regular trips around Europe. Be it on the trails of Monet or in the picturesque harbours of Monaco, the atmosphere is being captured 'en plain air' (outdoor painting). His artworks are in private collections in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Great Britain, Russia, Spain an the US.

Painting 'en plain air' has a certain specifics, e.g. one is exposed to the force of nature. Either snow, rain or relentless sun - to be embraced by nature is a precious gift.
