About The Artwork
Acrylic, colored markers, black marker on canvas. The theme of nature is the bases of my art. Most often in my paintings I depict trees, plants using the reflection effect. Symmetry in my art symbolizes the harmony and perfection (which is often lacking in daily life). I am trying to create a symbolic artworks, I often use in my paintings metallic paint, gold and silver as these colors are sacred, I would like that my paintings would cause the viewer a sacred sense.

Katerina Borodavchenko was born in 1978 in Karaganda (Kazakhstan). She studied at the State Karaganda University on professional art department. In 2007 she graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts named I.E. Repin. Katerina has been living and working in St. Petersburg since 1999. Artworks are in the private collections in Russia, Europe, USA and Asia.
