This is a political horror painting. Inspired by the horrors of 2020, I appropriated the Stephen King movie Salem's Lot. A ghoulish figure hovers above the White House in Washington, DC. I wish the viewer to meditate on the events of 2020 and beyond and their relation to US politics and abroad. Is the ghoul representative of threats posing the government, or does it represent the government itself?
