This is a new series, Beach Blanket Bingo, created when I was websurfing and came across a bunch of vintage surfer photos. Having grown up in SoCal and been a beach bum with a surfer boyfriend nostagia bubbled up in my head and I had to do a series of paintings! I've tried to turn up the color intensity and recreate those youthful, blissful, days at the beach when nothing much mattered other than sun, boys, water, and dare I say it? Sex.
