About The Artwork
I was inspired by another smaller piece in the Serenity series of my artwork. There's been so much going on with the aftermath of Hurricane Ian that I find it necessary to find moments of serenity and peace within and throughout my day. I have recently started utilizing the alcohol inks on my shelf and decided to use them in the piece shown here. I've also incorporated acrylic paints, my normal medium for painting canvases. I think the viewer will find the simplicity and aesthetics of this painting peaceful and calming. I certainly do. It is wired and ready to hang in your home or your office, or it can be given as a gift for the holidays or at any point in time. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
