Shrine of My Heart Painting

I finished my studies in Paris in 1975. I was a professor of French and artist in Residence at St. John's University. At this time I was painting and travelling the world sketching and creating watercolors of the most famous pilgrimage routes: Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Sinai and Egypt. I created a series of watercolors and paintings illustrating the pilgrimage route from Paris to Compostela, Spain and another route showing Italy's shrines and cultural sites. Some of the works are published in : The Road to Rome; Painting the Pilgrimage; An uncommon Mission and In Quest of the Spirit.
