About The Artwork

Coal Train an original acrylic painting I like the idea of paintings that bring a smile to your face.... This one did that for me, its a little look back to a time when I was a Coal Miner This has been painted with Acrylics in an Impressionism/Impasto Style The Painting measures 30 cm x 40 cm x 1.8 cm (approx) and although it has no frame it can be hung as is, as it was painted on a Pre Stretched Box Canvas

Hi, My name is Walter Blacklock I was born in 1958 in Gateshead the son of a Geordie Pitman, and like most sons of that time, I followed him into the pits to work as a coal miner. My children, all five of them, are now all grown up, and have flown the nest, although I have to remind them of that now and then...just kidding I love them all very much, and if I didn't see them for a day or so, it just wouldn't be right. As I'm a bit older now, I am at last able to give painting, (the other love of my life), the full time attention that it deserves Whether or not you buy one of my paintings or prints, I hope viewing them will bring a little pleasure to your life
