About The Artwork
Flor Kania, through her paintings, speaks to us of the river, of streams and riverbeds where the vegetation begins to grow, a place where the dimension of the landscape is magnified in front of the extensive river. She shows us a journey through her personal mapping, lines that led her to travel and live in different countries, analysing cities from a more architectural point of view. Her landscapes take unexpected forms with the discovery of a new aerial point of view that allows her to question both the geographical and cultural spaces from her own migration, the extension of limits and frontiers. Emptiness, loss, reunion are transformed into art emphasising colours that give calm while he basks in the lines of nature, as if they were an urban garden that materialises before his eyes as he searches for a new way of inhabiting.

To start talking about my work, I need to take a tour through experiences lived and traveled throughout these years. As a girl I lived on the side of the Paraná River, traveling through its streams and channels, soaked in the vegetation that grows from it. A place where the dimension of the landscape is gigantic in front of the extensive river. The geography books from the home library flooded my eyes with their maps. The void, the loss, the reunion are transformed into art emphasizing colors that give calm while I bask in the lines of nature. Lines that led me to travel and live in various countries, analyzing cities and cultures with a more architectural vision after having studied Architecture, landscapes take unexpected forms with the discovery of a new aerial point of view that allows me to question spaces so much geographical, cultural from my own migration, the extension of the limits and borders.
