I love the ocean and have spent much of my life fishing, surfing or just being by or in the ocean. So when i was on a sail boat around the tip of Queensland Australia, i came across this natural phenomenon of Coral Spawning. It only happens once a year in each area around the world. On The Great Barrier Reef of Queensland the whole coral reef spawns at the same time for only 20-30 minutes usually about mid November. There is so much spawn the ocean turns milky. This painting is my interpretation of the spawning event. The painting is created in a fluid style. If you zoom in you will see the varying veins and blending of these colors. Again this is a painting where i use NO paint brushes. I must admit this style is a lot of fun. The painting is 81 cm high and 122 cm wide and is 4 cm deep. It is finished in a subtle satin varnish which enhances the color and protects the paint. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. This painting will be shipped in a crate.
