About The Artwork

In 'Stroll through Colors,' the viewer is invited on a serene journey along a quiet avenue, artfully depicted through an Impressionist lens. The tranquil scene is set alive by a burst of lively colors, capturing the essence of a harmonious interaction between man and nature. Each stroke on this canvas tells a story of peaceful contemplation and beauty in everyday scenes. The choice of colors ranging from yellow and orange to blue and green reflects a palette that is as varied as it is vibrant, suggesting not just a visual journey, but an invitation to explore the underlying textures and patterns of both nature and urban life. Deeply resonant and open to interpretation, this piece encourages viewers to find their own meaning within the vibrant swathes of color.

I am a Swiss artist from the region of Fribourg, Western Switzerland. The cubist representation of urban and industrial subjects in the artworks of the American painters Charles Sheeler, Charles Demuth and partially Edward Hopper, influenced me a lot at the time, making me approach this artistic style. Since then the city and nature, in all its forms, remains a great source of inspiration for me. Through my artworks, I exploit the figurative and graphic style close to abstraction but also realism. Oil paint is the essential material I use for my creations, in some cases I use other media and techniques such as acrylic, ink, charcoal, collage and screen printing.
