Study of balance in blue and red Painting

Originally produced for the exhibition Chromatic Variations and Some Figurations (2004, Galeria Parangolé, Brasília, DF), it has suffered several abrasions over the years. Restored and, in the restoration, modified the original work by removing some elements and darkening the colors. It became more synthetic, more minimalist. There is a clear influence from Juan Miró, and also from Tomie Otake. After the change it became a study of balance: the red circle creates weight on the right side as a function of color and shape, while the left side compensates for this weight by a larger space. It is a very subtle balance, which at first glance may mislead the observer but whose perception is clear.
