About The Artwork
Titled "Sunset", this piece is one of a series of fire hydrant paintings that fuels my creativity to this day. These objects surround us in our cities, but they go largely unnoticed. You can feel a hydrant's unique personality when you stop to contemplate these quiet guardians of urban life. I love finding a unique hydrant and capturing its essence on canvas. Varnished with a slight, satin finish. Painting is unstretched with a few inches of white canvas around each side to facilitate stretching or framing.
