About The Artwork

The art work on offer is a watercolor completed and signed by Andreas Seiler 1994. This is of a series of Opera set designs Andreas had made from various well known Operas. Many of these paintings are now near 30 years old and have been created with a lot of passion. This one is one of the first in the series. It was music that brought Andreas to art and to the Opera. Some of the works were sent to well known and famous Opera singers, the biggest being Joan Sutherland/Richard Bonynge who were so pleased to receive some of Andreas’s most early works. This set design on offer depicts the entire town scene all the way to the little church up the hill, the entire town is fictious and completely original, the main balcony scene, the ladder, the guitar, the letter floating down ... The picture measures standard A3 42x30cm it is fully protected and in pristine condition, the artist initial style signature on this one and dated. The artist will sign the back with an attribution to the current Kaleidoscope venture where Figaro is captured in music and play during the last scene of ACT 1.
