About The Artwork
I find myself attracted to the organic and common forms repeated in nature. The twisting branch of a madrona tree can be seen to resemble the meandering forms of a river channel, or reminiscent of the joints and forms of a human limb. The veins visible in the human eye resemble a river delta or estuary in extreme miniature. All of those forms have a common purpose in directing fluids efficiently - mostly water or blood. It's a case of form follows function, and the logic of fractals, where patterns repeat from the smallest to the largest scale without losing definition, resolution, or function.
