The pose of this crane inspired the title " The Diva of the Pond". Head up. Aloof. Barely considering there is another creature on the planet....well maybe I will just kiss that little fish. Lots of subtle color going on in this painting. Warm tones to cool purples. Origianl painting on canvas paper ready for framing. I begin with black gesso on the surface and "paint up" the colors towards the light. Lots of layers. Enjoy.
