About The Artwork
Growing up on a farmyard full of machinery and rusted vehicles fascinated me as a child. I played hide and seek amidst the barrels and tanks, the flaking paint, the faded signage. I have a deep love for the warmth of rust and ochre tones. I built up a tiled effect in this painting, using oils and multiple torn pages of an old recycled book, that I have lovingly ink stained and texturised.
