About The Artwork
Premium cotton canvas Extra-fine acrylic painting, molding with Swarovski crystals inlays, gold and copper leaves with gold 22 carats Discovered in 1904 in Antinoe by Albert Gayet (a french archaeologist), at 300 kilometers from Cairo, the mummified corpse of this young Coptic woman who lived in the sixth century AD was brought back to France a year later. It is guarded today at Luneville Castle Museum (Meurthe-et-Moselle). Mummies have always facinated me and with this artwork I wanted to illustrate this so strange belief of ancient egyptians : wealth could be usefull after death.
