About The Artwork
I am obsessed with Shaw Brothers wu xia movies of the 70s and 80s. They were a major studio in Hong Kong similar to Warner Brothers here in the USA in that they produced high-quality, big-budget movies. These magical movies have inspired me to create a series of paintings. This is from the movie "Clans of Intrigue", directed by the famous Chor Yuen, whose movies are known for their beautiful set designs & cinematography. It stars Ti Lung, Yueh Hua, Ling Yun & Li Ching.
